  i am trying to find out how and where i can become involved in a stem cell research program.

  i have 8 different conditions that all hail from defective auto immune system and am getting sicker as time goes by.

  I am trying to find out how and where I can become involved in a stem cell research program. I have 8 different conditions that all hail from defective auto immune system and am getting sicker as time goes by. If anyone know where or how to get in touch I will follow through immediately. Traveling is possible. Long term stay is also possible.as I have good insurance. I have spent hours trying to find info on different types of trials myself but can not seem to get there in time. Slots are all taken or the trial has been dropped.

  Resurrection of dead loved ones......

  this belief and it's explanation used to make me scratch my head.

  if there is no part of you that survives after death, because of the no soul teaching, and jw's are taught that if faithful, we will be resurrected by god, the explanation goes that we exist in god's "memory" and there is a scripture used to support that.........someone help me out here cuz i don't have a bible available right now........... when this was first explained to me, i got this mental image of god as a giant computer.......not kidding........filled with all the specific dna info.

  This is a very major issue in my life. Uncle Bruce, I understand your mothers feelings in this matter and yes, I also remember that carrot that they threw out years ago stating that if you wanted your baby/ies to have a chance at the resurrection then you had better walk the straight and narrow and be completely obedient.

  This winter it this topic that was the final disagreement sending me running away from the organization. Even when I used the scripture that spoke of Jah knowing us in our embryonic state I was met with ... but the "society" now states that unbreathing babies do not get resurrected based on a principle. They wanted to explain that principle and I refused to let them. Hogwash!

  I little while ago I read a most interesting post and I think it might have been on JWD stating the belief of dieing completely and then returning to a different body is actually part and parcel of the recincarnation. When I read this I knew that was it! I think that they are including the reincarnation belief to a degree in their fairy tale.

  I hope that this makes sense I have not even sipped my morning coffee yet.

  my daughter from california called me and said my grand daughter from arkansa called her and no longer wants to be a jw, that she is a pot head and has a boy friend and wants to be emancipated and to top it all off she wanted to talk to her grand paw (me).

  in her words, "i don't want to be a jehovah's witness and put up with that shit.

  i don't beleive that shit.

  **LISTEN!**

  That would be much more important than speaking at this point.

  Bring her to you if you have that in your heart. Explaining of ccourse that you have rules, the are fair and they must be honored.

  Perhaps offering to help her to secure counseling whether she goes to you or not.

  Lastly explain to her who and what you are just the way that you did in your post.

  There is never any definites when dealing with teens but who knows. Finally talking to someone logical after all of those years of JW logic might help her to get her head on straight.

  I spent years not wanting to pick my head up off the pillow in the am for fear of what they would come up with next for me / us to do.

  A New Me, I think that you have it down pat.

  Hubby is going to go and celebrate it with his brothers and sister in the 'truth'

  This is the first time in 33 years that I will be going . What a wonderful way to acknowledge tomorrow by going down to the edge of the woods while meditating and praying. That just makes great sense to me. Also perhaps a bit of bible reading before and / or after would be good for the soul.

  Do you honestly think the Witness religion will end?

  i know that people here make comments about the religion having problems and growth not being anything other then children born into the faith and third world countries.

  i even see them make comments about, "how much longer can this go on?

  " yet honestly, do you really think the witness religion will end in our life time?

  Very, very interesting thread. Yes, I believe that this religion is doomed. Not because of just one thing but a long and disgusting list, protecting child rapist in the name of god, false prophecy, internet, television exposure, continual lines of suits being filed in courts in many countries, rapidly changing doctrines including the one on blood, it is harder and harder to find gullible, uneducated people as in the past or at least in the more developed countries, Bethelites are being sent home . the buildings are selling and people will want to know what is being done with the money. People are bound to notice that friends and relatives are being disfellowshipped and disassoiciated by the truckload and when the 'good ole boys' in NYC say, "Rejoice, this is Jah cleaning out the congregation and then the end will come!" People are NOT going to buy into it the way that they have in the past. Without the people in the K.H.s then the money will slow down and so will the preaching. It is a house of cards and the wind is starting to blow.

  I think that as long as this ugly beast can draw a small amount of breathe and there is a slight pulse left inside of her it then it will die last in countries like Africa and other impoversed areas.

  I say in 5 years it will be unrecognizable by todays standards

  Getting on JWD on Saturday

  anyone else have trouble yesterday getting on to jwd?

  i tried three different computers and when i clicked on jwd's url each computer wouldn't access it - it would partially load the url and then wouldn't complete the load.

  i tried getting on over a period of over 6 hours and the same thing happened.

  Thanks for the info Scully. I too tried on and off all day. By dinner time I was certain that we had been hacked esp. after those strange emails the day or two before.... phew!!! This site is what keeps me going.
